Fly to your full potential with Conservatoire Cerdd. A fresh approach to Music Education. A Saturday School for Young Musicians starting next term in Aberystwyth. Taking Expressions of Interest for 2024/25
Here’s something fresh in Music Education
School budgets often eclipse talent, creativity and ambition. When budgets are cut, opportunities are reduced and young peoples’ interest in music wanes. People often perceive this is as a lack of demand and rather than look at offering musical services which inspire and engage in every year leading up to GCSE, they take it as an opportunity to cut courses further, quoting lack of interest as the reason. And so the cycle continues until eventually the musical lifeblood of the community is eroded beyond repair. Our kids musical futures and that of the community is under threat and we believe we need to do more for the next generation. Until school budgets are restored and music is re-prioritised, it’s up to us.

Supporting Tomorrow’s Tutors
To ensure a bright future for music education we support newly qualified tutors to develop and enhance their teaching careers by providing mentorship, opportunities to teach and help with business development.
Revitalising Music Education and Opportunities
We are a Music Conservatoire run by CIC which we are currently setting up – It will be a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development of Musicianship with Young Musicians.
Our learning plans promote creativity, ambition and musical purpose. We offer the usual qualifications – and so much more. Like opportunities to take part in national festivals, concerts and competitions. Plus masterclasses with musical glitterati.
“Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel. If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children’s education. ”
